Why Do Animals Live Where They Live?
The essential question that our school researched was, “How does where we live affect how we live?”. The 1st and 2nd grade classes decided to focus on why animals live where they live. In our classroom, we looked at how an animal is adapted to the habitat it lives in. Through the use of books, reference materials, the internet, videos, and a trip to the Miami Metro Zoo, we were able to find the answer to this question.

Each child researched his or her own animal. They gathered information about the animal and its habitat. Then each child worked with a group to create a multimedia presentation to showcase what they learned. Click on the “Projects” link at the top of the page to view our projects.
