GLIDES, the Global Learning Initiative Through Digital Education for Students, is an effort to create 21st century classrooms. In a 21st century classroom, teachers facilitate the learning process in an interactive, engaging way while students learn curriculum while using technology in a real world manner.
During GLIDES, student complete a project-based learning unit in which they research, plan, and construct an answer to an essential question. The final products are presented in an end of project showcase.
GLIDES has been implemented in nearly forty Broward schools over the last four years.
GLIDES provides an opportunity for teachers implement a project in which students use 21st century skills and 21st century tools.
