How log should our students presentations be? I guess more specifically, what would you suggest the min. and max. time be for the presentations?

At Ms. Taylor's request, I've added a section to the wiki on Pitching Your Movie.

I often find it useful to have groups pitch their movie idea before letting them work on the actual movie.

We added a whole page to our wiki. Lots of good info, including the link to that Disney video that Ms. Farkas asked me for.

Interesting blog with tips for taking better pictures. I liked this post: http://digital-photography-school.com/blog/10-questions/
You may want to share with your class. Many of these tips apply for video as well. I especially liked the part about the picture telling a story.

Find attached a nice document dealing with copyright and Fair Use issues. Keep in mind, Fair Use doesn't always apply to content posted on the net.

The following resources may be useful. They are posted on our company's wiki: http://pbltech.org/wiki/
You don't need a password to look at this wiki, but you do need a password to download. I will email you user names and passwords.
1. A really good chart that explains use of copyright materials. http://www.pbltech.org/download/broward/copyright_chart%20.pdf
Note: This is specific for teachers using the materials in their classroom, but we may be able to apply some of the standards to what students can use in their projects. Remember, there is no clear-cut law on this issue.
2. Information about Film Production: http://www.pbltech.org/wiki/index.php?title=Film_Production
3. Information about storyboarding in general, including templates to download and additional resources: http://www.pbltech.org/wiki/index.php?title=Storyboard#Links_and_Resources
